Up until recently, much of the knowledge surrounding the causes of Autism Spectrum Disorders has been limited. In place of a solid science-based understanding of the condition, pseudo-science has attempted to explain the disorder.

- As I pointed out in the wellescent.com forums, the 24-month wait is a most absurd concept and is incredibly ill-conceived.

- Emergency care is disgraceful in many places with long waiting times, patients being shuffled about and different nurses having to check out why a patient is in the ER in the first place. Some patients come for mostly trivial reasons often caused by excess worry or ignorance of conditions.

- Here we have another "canary in the coal mine" that is pointing to something that we are doing wrong with the planet and yet we are totally focused on the crisis of the economic system that is largely responsible for the mode of operation that has caused the problem in the first place.

- As I pointed out in the wellescent.com forums, the issue with this sort of rule setting is the opportunity for abuse of power by some in positions of medical authority. The concern that I read from the rule was the potential for a doctor or pharmacist to not tell the patient about all their options.

- I don't need anyone to tell me its okay to comment on the number of children people are having because we are all entitled to an opinion and labeling issues as taboo does not make them go away.

- To say that these parents are negligent is an understatement and there are two factors that indicate this. The first is the fact that they could even forget a child. If they were even making sure their children had seat belts on, a basic check, they would have realized one was missing.
